Bristol City Council is seeking an excellent School Improvement Officer.
You will be joining at an exciting time as we move into the second year of implementation of the
You will join the current team to strengthen and deliver the core offer of universal support.
You will report to the Lead for School Improvement, while the team sits alongside Early Years and Inclusive Learning to deliver a comprehensive, aligned and cohesive service for our 39 primary, infant, junior and special maintained schools.
Your work will directly contribute to the national agenda on education reform set out in
You will hold Qualified Teacher Status and require an enhanced DBS. You will have relevant school experience with knowledge of current national developments in school improvement and school effectiveness in order that you can evaluate the quality and impact of schools’ work. This includes a thorough understanding of the Ofsted toolkit and inspection framework and understanding of school data to evaluate and improve performance.
You will be adept at identifying, sharing and supporting leaders at all levels to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed approaches and can share how you have had a demonstrable impact in this way on school outcomes.
You must be able to communicate effectively and sensitively, working in partnership to promote collaborative working.
