Role Summary

The Regulatory Reporting & Compliance Accountant will support the preparation, validation, and submission of financial and regulatory reports. This position combines accounting expertise with compliance-focused review, ensuring that financial information is complete, consistent, and aligned with applicable reporting requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, risk, and compliance colleagues to maintain reporting quality and address discrepancies promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate financial and regulatory reporting schedules in line with applicable requirements.

• Reconcile regulatory reporting figures against general ledger balances and underlying accounting records.

• Assist with periodic reporting obligations relevant to the organisation’s licensed activities.

• Review reporting data for inconsistencies, omissions, and unusual movements before submission.

• Maintain supporting documentation, working papers, and audit trails for regulatory reviews.

• Monitor changes to relevant accounting and reporting requirements and assess their potential operational impact.

• Coordinate with compliance and finance teams to clarify reporting interpretations and resolve issues.

• Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory information requests.

• Maintain reporting calendars and track deadlines, approvals, and outstanding actions.

• Recommend improvements to reporting controls, data quality checks, and documentation procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience in regulatory reporting, financial accounting, compliance reporting, or financial services operations.

• Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting documentation.

• Ability to interpret reporting requirements and apply them consistently to financial data.

• Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience with accounting or reporting systems.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• High standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and professional judgement.

• Professional proficiency in English; familiarity with Estonian or European financial regulatory reporting is an advantage.
