Description
What You Will Be Doing:
- Own and lead quality efforts for significant product areas or cross-team initiatives, defining and driving execution of comprehensive test strategies (functional, integration, performance, and system testing).
- Support developers in large initiatives to “shift quality left”—ensuring they can run acceptance tests locally and sharing techniques to improve how developers test and validate their own changes.
- Develop, execute, and maintain complex automated test scripts (using Python, Pytest, TypeScript, etc.) alongside the development team to enforce collective ownership of quality.
- Participate actively in Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) and drive toward comprehensive solutions to prevent repeat incidents.
- Plan and complete the Readiness Review testing sections for tasked initiatives, managing end-to-end acceptance and exploratory testing at the epic level.
- Conduct complex debugging, including staging/production issue reproduction and root cause analysis, helping to troubleshoot issues even outside of your immediate team.
- Partner with the Pillar Lead and Protectobot to identify and address technical gaps in test coverage, unblock framework issues, and implement AI-assisted testing efficiencies.
- Mentor and coach QE 1s, QE 2s, and QE 3s, guiding them on advanced testing techniques, and act as a technical interviewer during hiring processes.
- Evaluate risk vs. schedule, balancing comprehensive testing with rapid delivery timelines to optimize engineering velocity.
- Collaborate with architects and development leads to ensure overall system testability and robustness
