Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to coordinate interconnected projects, manage delivery priorities, and ensure that strategic initiatives achieve their intended business outcomes. This role requires a structured approach to planning, governance, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

The successful candidate will oversee programme-level delivery across multiple teams, ensuring that individual projects remain aligned with broader organisational objectives. You will establish clear reporting practices, identify dependencies, resolve delivery bottlenecks, and help stakeholders make informed decisions throughout the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop programme plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, and expected outcomes.

  • Coordinate multiple projects and workstreams to ensure alignment with agreed strategic priorities.

  • Establish programme governance arrangements, including reporting schedules, review meetings, escalation procedures, and decision logs.

  • Track delivery progress against milestones, budgets, performance indicators, and agreed quality standards.

  • Identify programme risks, cross-project dependencies, resource constraints, and potential delivery delays.

  • Work with project managers and functional leads to develop mitigation plans and resolve delivery issues.

  • Prepare clear status reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders and programme sponsors.

  • Facilitate planning sessions, steering committee meetings, and cross-functional coordination activities.

  • Monitor changes to scope, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring appropriate impact assessments and approvals.

  • Support financial tracking, resource forecasting, procurement coordination, and budget-control activities.

  • Ensure programme documentation remains accurate, accessible, and consistent with internal governance requirements.

  • Conduct programme reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future delivery performance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • At least five years of relevant experience in programme management, project delivery, PMO operations, or complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple workstreams with competing deadlines and dependencies.

  • Strong knowledge of programme planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery governance.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMI-based approaches.

  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, or equivalent platforms.

  • Strong budget-monitoring, reporting, documentation, and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate delivery risks clearly.

  • Professional English proficiency; experience working with international teams is advantageous.

Working Environment

The role involves regular interaction with project teams, business stakeholders, external partners, and programme sponsors. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across different functions, balancing structured governance with the flexibility required to respond to changing business priorities.

What Success Looks Like

You will be expected to improve delivery visibility, maintain effective programme controls, manage dependencies proactively, and ensure that initiatives deliver measurable results within agreed constraints.

Ideal candidate: A disciplined programme professional who can connect strategic objectives with practical execution while maintaining accountability, transparency, and consistent delivery standards.
