Role Summary

The Product Engineer will develop features that improve the client experience across FX onboarding, account management, transaction visibility, and platform support workflows. The role focuses on connecting user-interface components with reliable backend services while ensuring that important financial information is presented clearly and consistently.

The ideal candidate understands how to build customer-facing financial applications and can balance usability, technical quality, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop digital features for client registration, onboarding progress, profile management, and account settings.

• Build interfaces for transaction histories, account activity, currency balances, and service notifications where supported by the product.

• Implement backend endpoints and integrations for client-facing product functionality.

• Improve form validation, error handling, and feedback across financial-service workflows.

• Collaborate with product designers to simplify complex account and transaction experiences.

• Integrate identity, notification, and customer-service systems through approved APIs.

• Apply secure coding practices to authentication, authorisation, and sensitive account operations.

• Write automated tests for customer journeys and critical account-service functions.

• Investigate usability issues and technical defects reported by QA or customer-support teams.

• Monitor application performance and contribute to improvements in reliability and maintainability.

• Maintain technical documentation and participate in product release planning.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience building web applications or digital products, preferably within fintech or financial services.

• Strong skills in TypeScript or JavaScript and experience with React or a similar frontend framework.

• Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or comparable technologies.

• Understanding of API integration, SQL databases, authentication, and role-based access control.

• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.

• Awareness of secure handling requirements for financial and customer account data.

• Ability to translate customer and product requirements into practical engineering solutions.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
