Role

We are looking for an exceptional Principal Fintech Software Engineer to design and build highly scalable financial platforms supporting payments, account services, transaction processing, and real-time financial workflows.

You will operate at a senior technical level, helping establish engineering standards while solving complex problems involving distributed systems, financial data, APIs, security, and transaction reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly resilient fintech applications and services.
• Lead architecture decisions for distributed financial systems.
• Build secure APIs and services supporting payment and transaction workflows.
• Design systems capable of processing high volumes of financial transactions reliably.
• Establish engineering standards covering code quality, testing, observability, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, data specialists, and compliance teams.
• Review complex technical designs and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Improve platform scalability, performance, fault tolerance, and operational resilience.
• Lead technical investigations and resolve complex production issues.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to long-term engineering strategy.

Technical Expertise

Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, C#, Python, Go, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and distributed systems would be highly valuable.

Experience with payment processing, digital banking, ledger systems, financial APIs, transaction platforms, or other regulated financial technology is particularly advantageous.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise designing complex production-grade systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience working with security-sensitive or high-availability platforms.
• Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and modern cloud infrastructure.
