Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring that organizational resources are directed toward the highest-value priorities. The successful candidate will work across departments to evaluate project performance, manage competing priorities, monitor investments, and provide senior leadership with a consolidated view of strategic execution.

This position requires strong commercial judgment, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. You will establish portfolio-level governance, assess dependencies and risks, and help ensure that projects remain aligned with organizational strategy and available resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain portfolio-management frameworks and governance processes.
  • Evaluate proposed projects based on strategic value, cost, risk, resources, and expected outcomes.
  • Monitor the performance of active projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain portfolio dashboards covering budgets, milestones, risks, dependencies, and benefits.
  • Coordinate prioritization and resource allocation across competing initiatives.
  • Identify portfolio-level risks, conflicts, dependencies, and capacity constraints.
  • Prepare investment analyses and recommendations for senior management.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews with project and department leaders.
  • Track expected benefits and assess whether initiatives are delivering planned outcomes.
  • Support annual strategic planning and investment-prioritization exercises.
  • Improve project-management standards, reporting structures, and governance practices.
  • Develop executive-level reports on portfolio performance and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in portfolio, program, project, strategy, or business management.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent understanding of project governance and resource allocation.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication capabilities.
  • Ability to evaluate complex initiatives and make objective recommendations.
  • Project or portfolio-management certification is an advantage.
