A growing fintech environment is looking for a Payments Reconciliation Analyst to ensure that transaction records across internal systems, banking partners and payment providers remain accurate and properly reconciled.

This is a detail-intensive specialist position suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, transaction data and complex financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic reconciliation of payment and settlement transactions.
• Compare internal transaction records against bank and payment-provider statements.
• Investigate unmatched, duplicated, reversed or incomplete transactions.
• Track outstanding reconciliation items through to resolution.
• Analyse transaction data to identify recurring discrepancies.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and exception summaries.
• Support settlement verification across multiple payment channels.
• Liaise with technical and operational teams when discrepancies originate from system behaviour.
• Maintain accurate investigation records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with improving reconciliation controls and automated processes.
• Contribute to operational reporting and financial data-quality initiatives.

What You Bring

• Experience in payments operations, banking operations, reconciliation, financial analysis or fintech.
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent Excel or spreadsheet skills; SQL knowledge is advantageous.
• Understanding of payment flows, settlements and transaction lifecycles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate problems methodically and document findings clearly.
• Comfortable working with large transaction datasets.
• Ability to manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong English communication skills.

This position combines finance, technology and investigation. You will not simply process transactions—you will understand how money moves through interconnected digital systems and determine what happened when those systems do not reconcile.

Experience with payment gateways, acquiring, issuing, digital wallets or cross-border payments would be particularly relevant.
