- Ingest data from exchanges, brokers, liquidity providers, financial data vendors, and other approved sources.
- Develop systems for collecting prices, order books, trades, volumes, reference data, and related market information.
- Build robust processes for data cleansing, validation, normalisation, and enrichment.
- Monitor data quality, latency, completeness, and availability across critical pipelines.
- Investigate data discrepancies, missing records, feed interruptions, and unexpected market-data behaviour.
- Develop efficient storage architectures for high-volume time-series and historical market datasets.
- Support real-time data distribution to trading, quantitative research, risk, and analytical systems.
- Work with engineering teams to improve data-processing performance and scalability.
- Develop automated monitoring, testing, and alerting for market-data infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation covering data sources, schemas, pipelines, transformations, and dependencies.
- Support historical data management and reliable dataset access for quantitative research and backtesting.
- Implement appropriate controls for data lineage, integrity, and reproducibility.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation’s market-data architecture.
Candidate Profile
- Professional experience in data engineering, financial data engineering, market-data technology, or a related field.
- Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with Java, Scala, or another programming language is advantageous.
- Practical experience building ETL/ELT and real-time data pipelines.
- Understanding of financial-market data, including prices, trades, order books, and reference data.
- Experience working with APIs, streaming systems, and high-volume datasets.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Airflow, cloud platforms, or comparable technologies is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of relational and time-series databases.
- Experience with data-quality monitoring and automated validation.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with quantitative, trading, and software-engineering teams.
- Relevant degree in computer science, data engineering, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field.
Why This Opportunity
