Role Overview

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models that support real-world business applications. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to transform experimental models into reliable production services.

The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, and the ability to build maintainable solutions that integrate effectively with existing software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for classification, regression, forecasting, and other predictive applications.
• Prepare datasets and implement feature engineering pipelines to improve model quality.
• Apply suitable machine learning algorithms and frameworks to address business requirements.
• Evaluate models using appropriate performance metrics, validation techniques, and statistical methods.
• Collaborate with data scientists to transition experimental models into production environments.
• Build model inference services and integrate predictions into applications through APIs.
• Implement automated testing and validation procedures for machine learning components.
• Monitor model performance and investigate prediction errors, data drift, and model degradation.
• Optimise models for inference speed, resource consumption, and scalability.
• Maintain model documentation, experiment records, and deployment procedures.
• Follow established standards for data security, responsible AI, and software quality.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in machine learning engineering, applied machine learning, or a related technical role.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Practical experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Experience working with SQL, pandas, NumPy, and structured or unstructured datasets.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Docker, Git, and automated testing.
• Understanding of model versioning, reproducible experiments, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
