An advanced development role for an experienced engineer responsible for creating sophisticated digital banking capabilities, from customer account services to real-time financial processing.

The Role

You will lead the technical development of backend and platform components supporting digital accounts, payments, transfers, customer financial data, and banking workflows. The position combines hands-on development with architectural responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect and develop secure services for digital banking and financial-account management.
• Build APIs for account creation, balance management, transfers, payments, transaction history, and financial reporting.
• Develop real-time transaction-processing workflows with strong consistency and auditability.
• Implement event-driven architectures capable of processing large volumes of financial events.
• Design robust data models for customer accounts, transactions, balances, fees, limits, and settlement records.
• Integrate external banking and financial-service APIs while maintaining reliability and security.
• Establish automated testing strategies covering unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership across complex development initiatives.
• Work closely with cybersecurity and compliance specialists to ensure systems meet financial-sector security requirements.
• Identify architectural bottlenecks and continuously improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Background

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with significant backend development expertise.
• Proven experience developing complex fintech, banking, payments, or financial-data platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Go, TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, database architecture, API design, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized production environments.
• Familiarity with financial ledgers, transaction states, reconciliation, settlement, or payment workflows is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns and engineering best practices.
