ABOUT THE JOB
Are you a backend engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and happens to love poker? Then this might be your next move.
Here, you’ll work on our industry-leading poker product, building scalable, high-performance backend systems together with a team of experienced developers and poker enthusiasts.
We’re known for pushing boundaries in the online poker space: constantly evolving the product with new features, formats, and improvements. With a strong roadmap ahead, we’re looking for someone who wants to help us take it even further.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and maintaining robust backend systems using Java
- Contributing to the design and implementation of new features and improvements
- Collaborating closely with frontend developers and business stakeholders
- Continuously improving performance, scalability, and code quality
- Troubleshooting and solving complex technical challenges
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java
- Experience working with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
- Solid understanding of software development best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience with Python
- Experience within iGaming or a similar domain
- Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or MariaDB
- Experience with concurrent and asynchronous programming
- A genuine interest in poker or gaming
