Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented FX Trade Support Specialist to support the daily processing, monitoring, and control of foreign exchange transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that trades are accurately captured, confirmed, reconciled, and prepared for settlement while maintaining reliable communication between front-office trading teams, counterparties, and back-office operations.

Based in Estonia, this position offers an opportunity to work within a professional financial services environment supporting FX trading activities across international markets. The role requires strong operational discipline, an understanding of foreign exchange transaction lifecycles, and the ability to identify discrepancies before they affect settlement, reporting, or client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily trade support for FX spot, forward, swap, and other currency transactions.

  • Verify trade details, including currency pairs, transaction amounts, exchange rates, value dates, counterparties, and settlement instructions.

  • Ensure trades are accurately recorded in trading systems and internal transaction databases.

  • Monitor trade confirmations and investigate discrepancies between internal records and counterparty confirmations.

  • Coordinate with dealers, brokers, counterparties, and operations teams to resolve booking errors and outstanding trade queries.

  • Track settlement deadlines and follow up on incomplete documentation or unresolved transaction exceptions.

  • Reconcile trading records against confirmations, transaction reports, and relevant operational systems.

  • Escalate unusual transactions, failed confirmations, missing information, and potential settlement risks according to established procedures.

  • Maintain accurate trade records, supporting documentation, and operational audit trails.

  • Assist with daily position checks and investigate differences between trading and operational records.

  • Support process improvements aimed at reducing manual errors, improving turnaround times, and strengthening transaction controls.

  • Contribute to operational reporting covering trade volumes, confirmation status, outstanding exceptions, and processing performance.

  • Follow internal policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable financial services controls.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Previous experience in FX operations, trade support, securities operations, banking operations, or financial transaction processing is preferred.

  • Understanding of FX spot, forward, and swap transactions and their operational requirements.

  • Familiarity with trade capture, confirmation matching, reconciliation, and settlement processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with financial data and transaction records.

  • Experience using trading platforms, treasury management systems, or reconciliation tools is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in transaction data.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks against time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills when coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties.

  • High standards of accuracy, confidentiality, accountability, and professional conduct.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain accurate transaction records, resolve trade discrepancies promptly, monitor outstanding confirmations, and support timely settlement preparation. Performance will be assessed through processing accuracy, exception resolution, adherence to operational deadlines, and compliance with established controls.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to international FX markets and institutional trading operations.

  • Collaboration with dealing, middle-office, treasury, and settlement teams.

  • Opportunities to develop expertise in financial transaction processing and trade lifecycle management.

  • A professional environment focused on operational accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Competitive compensation based on relevant experience and responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate: An organised and reliable finance operations professional who understands the FX trade lifecycle and can maintain high processing standards in a deadline-driven environment.
