Role Summary

The Fintech Integration Specialist will be responsible for supporting the integration of financial platforms, payment infrastructure, and third-party financial services. The role focuses on ensuring that systems communicate effectively, financial data is transferred accurately, and integration processes remain reliable.

Working remotely within Estonia, the successful candidate will collaborate with software engineers, product teams, financial operations, and external technology partners. The position requires a combination of technical understanding, analytical ability, and knowledge of financial technology workflows.

The specialist will contribute to integration planning, API implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing system optimisation while supporting the development of reliable digital financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the integration of fintech platforms with banking systems, payment gateways, financial APIs, and third-party service providers.

• Configure and maintain integration workflows to ensure reliable communication between financial systems.

• Review API documentation and assist with integration requirements, technical specifications, and implementation planning.

• Monitor integration performance and investigate data inconsistencies, transaction failures, and connectivity issues.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical integration challenges.

• Conduct integration testing, validation, and regression checks before production deployment.

• Support the implementation of secure data exchange processes and appropriate authentication mechanisms.

• Maintain technical documentation covering integration architecture, system dependencies, and operational procedures.

• Assist with the reconciliation of integration-related transaction data and investigate discrepancies.

• Coordinate with external providers to address service interruptions and integration changes.

• Identify opportunities to improve integration reliability, processing efficiency, and operational performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Financial Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in systems integration, fintech operations, technical support, or a related technical role.

• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and API authentication methods.

• Familiarity with payment processing, banking integrations, digital financial services, or transaction management systems.

• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or comparable platforms.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.

• Understanding of system monitoring, integration testing, and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

• Ability to manage integration tasks independently within a remote working environment.
