Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile Fintech Full-Stack Web Developer to develop and maintain end-to-end web applications supporting digital payments, financial account services, transaction management, and business finance tools. The successful candidate will contribute across the application stack, from building responsive customer interfaces to implementing backend services, database structures, and third-party integrations.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and understands how frontend usability, backend reliability, data integrity, and application security work together within financial technology products.

Working alongside product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other technical specialists, you will help transform business requirements into production-ready solutions while maintaining a strong focus on code quality, system performance, and secure handling of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications for digital banking, payment services, financial reporting, and account management.

• Build responsive frontend components using React, Next.js, TypeScript, or comparable technologies.

• Develop backend services, business logic, and RESTful APIs using Node.js, Python, Java, or another suitable programming language.

• Design and maintain relational database schemas, queries, and data-access layers to support reliable financial workflows.

• Integrate payment gateways, banking APIs, identity verification providers, notification services, and other external systems.

• Implement reliable transaction workflows, including validation, error handling, duplicate-request prevention, and appropriate audit logging.

• Develop secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms and apply suitable controls to sensitive customer and transaction data.

• Write automated tests covering application logic, API behaviour, integration points, and critical user journeys.

• Monitor application performance, investigate production incidents, and resolve defects across frontend and backend components.

• Contribute to deployment automation, cloud infrastructure configuration, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical planning, and documentation.

• Collaborate with compliance, product, and operations teams to ensure that technical solutions address financial service requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least three years of full-stack web development experience.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and practical experience with a modern frontend framework.

• Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, or a comparable technology.

• Good understanding of REST API design, relational databases, application architecture, and data modelling.

• Experience with Git, automated testing, debugging, and software development lifecycle practices.

• Familiarity with cloud services, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring.

• Understanding of secure software development, API authentication, authorisation, and protection against common web vulnerabilities.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple application layers and communicate technical decisions clearly.

• Previous experience with payment processing, digital banking, financial APIs, or other fintech products is an advantage.

Technical Environment

The role may involve TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Docker, cloud infrastructure, automated testing, and CI/CD tooling. Candidates should be comfortable learning new frameworks and working with external financial service integrations.
