🎯 Role Summary

The Fintech Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across fintech operations. The role involves analysing financial information, monitoring expenditure, evaluating business performance, and preparing reports that help management understand financial results and operational trends.

The successful candidate will work with finance, operations, product, and technology teams to improve financial visibility across the organisation. A strong ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and communicate meaningful insights will be essential.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and periodic financial plans.

• Analyse monthly financial performance and identify significant variances against approved budgets.

• Prepare management reports covering revenue, expenditure, operating costs, and financial performance indicators.

• Monitor departmental spending and investigate unusual cost movements.

• Develop financial models to support business planning and operational decision-making.

• Evaluate the financial implications of new fintech products, services, and operational initiatives.

• Analyse revenue trends associated with payment processing, digital services, and other financial technology activities.

• Work with department leads to collect financial assumptions and prepare forecast updates.

• Maintain accurate financial planning records and reporting documentation.

🎓 Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Professional experience in financial planning, financial analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance.

• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

• Experience developing financial models and analysing business performance.

• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.

• Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate meaningful insights.

• Familiarity with financial management systems and business intelligence platforms.

• Knowledge of fintech, digital banking, payments, or technology business models is an advantage.

• Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills.
