A technology-focused financial services environment is seeking an experienced Fintech Data Science Manager to lead the development of analytical and machine-learning solutions across financial products.

You will guide a team of data professionals while helping transform complex financial and customer data into predictive insights that improve risk management, fraud detection, customer experience, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute data-science initiatives aligned with strategic fintech objectives.
• Lead the development of predictive models for fraud, risk, customer behaviour, and financial-product performance.
• Manage data scientists and collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and software engineers.
• Establish standards for model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Translate business challenges into well-defined analytical and machine-learning problems.
• Evaluate model performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support real-time and batch machine-learning applications across financial platforms.
• Promote responsible and explainable approaches to financial modelling.
• Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Help establish a scalable data-science roadmap and technical direction.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, quantitative analytics, or a related field.
• Previous experience leading data-science teams or major analytical programmes.
• Strong Python, SQL, statistics, and machine-learning expertise.
• Experience with production machine-learning systems and modern data platforms.
• Understanding of financial datasets, transaction behaviour, risk modelling, or customer analytics.
• Strong knowledge of model evaluation, experimentation, feature engineering, and predictive modelling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
