A technology-intensive fintech environment is seeking a Fintech Cloud Reliability Engineer to help ensure that critical financial applications remain available, resilient and observable.

Financial systems cannot simply be operational most of the time. Payment processing, account services and transaction infrastructure require carefully engineered reliability.

This role is for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving infrastructure problems and improving the operational characteristics of complex cloud systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting fintech applications.
• Improve system availability, scalability and resilience.
• Develop infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement monitoring, logging and distributed observability.
• Establish meaningful service-level indicators and operational metrics.
• Investigate infrastructure and application incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational processes.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability.
• Support containerized and microservice-based environments.
• Review infrastructure architecture for performance and resilience.
• Contribute to disaster-recovery and business-continuity capabilities.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Technical Experience

• Professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Practical Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• Proficiency with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Strong Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and automated deployments.
• Understanding of networking, security and cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with observability technologies and incident-management practices.
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Go, Bash or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.

Fintech Advantage

Experience supporting payment systems, banking platforms, trading technology, financial APIs or other high-availability financial applications is highly desirable.
