We are looking for a Financial Data Engineer to design and maintain the data foundations supporting analytics, reporting, financial operations, risk processes, and digital products.

This is a technically demanding position for an engineer who enjoys solving data problems where accuracy and reliability matter as much as scalability.

Your Technical Scope

You will work across data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, quality management, and analytical infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines for financial and operational datasets.
• Build reliable ingestion processes for transactional and third-party data sources.
• Develop transformation frameworks supporting analytics and business intelligence.
• Work with structured and semi-structured financial datasets.
• Implement automated data-quality checks and anomaly detection mechanisms.
• Establish robust data lineage and documentation practices.
• Optimize data processing performance and infrastructure costs.
• Support real-time and batch data-processing architectures.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, engineers, finance teams, and product specialists.
• Develop datasets supporting payments, customer analytics, financial reporting, and operational intelligence.
• Implement appropriate controls around sensitive financial and customer information.
• Investigate data inconsistencies and develop permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organization’s data architecture.

Technical Environment

Strong experience with several of the following is expected:

• Python or another modern programming language
• SQL
• Cloud data platforms
• Data warehouses and data lakes
• ETL/ELT pipelines
• Workflow orchestration
• Streaming technologies
• REST APIs
• Relational and non-relational databases
• Data-quality and observability tooling
• CI/CD and version-control practices

Experience with financial transaction data, payment systems, banking platforms, or regulated data environments is highly valuable.
