We are looking for a senior AWS/Oracle FCUBS DevOps Tech Lead to lead the engineering, automation, reliability and migration of mission-critical Oracle FLEXCUBE core banking platforms.
The role requires a combination of hands-on AWS infrastructure expertise, Oracle platform knowledge, DevOps leadership and experience with highly available enterprise systems.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Lead the design and implementation of AWS platforms for Oracle FLEXCUBE and related workloads.
- Drive the migration of Oracle FLEXCUBE and related services to AWS.
- Design secure, scalable and highly available AWS architectures.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Design and operate AWS environments based on:
- EC2
- VPC
- Subnets
- Route tables
- Security groups
- Network ACLs
- Load balancing
- Define AWS network security, access control, segmentation and secure connectivity patterns.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins or comparable tools.
- Operate Docker and Kubernetes-based environments where appropriate.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, application delivery, testing and operational processes.
- Establish high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup and service-continuity strategies.
- Improve monitoring, observability, performance and operational readiness.
- Support Oracle FLEXCUBE application infrastructure, database connectivity and related integrations.
- Work with engineering, database, security and business teams to deliver reliable solutions.
- Mentor engineers, build effective teams and contribute to hiring and capability development.
- Participate in an on-call rotation outside normal business hours, including evenings, nights and weekends, according to the agreed rota calendar.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Proven experience leading teams and technical delivery for large-scale or business-critical systems.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional IT experience is required.
- Professional experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, especially:
- EC2
- VPC architecture
- Public and private subnets
- Route tables and internet/NAT gateways
- Security groups and network ACLs
- IAM and least-privilege access
- Load balancing
- Monitoring and logging
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Network security and secure connectivity
- Strong practical experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code, including reusable modules, environment composition, dependency management and consistent multi-environment deployments.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced Linux administration and automation skills.
- Experience with high availability, resilience, disaster recovery and service continuity.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases and Oracle-based enterprise systems.
- Solid understanding of Oracle data structures and Oracle LogMiner operation, including its role in analysing database changes and supporting data replication or change-data-capture processes.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to assess architectural trade-offs and communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Experience building, leading or hiring technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to engineers, stakeholders and business representatives.
- Willingness and ability to participate in the on-call rotation according to the agreed rota calendar.
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on Pan-Baltic level.
