Position Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of software delivery and cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across development and operations, helping engineering teams automate deployment processes, manage infrastructure, strengthen monitoring, and maintain secure production environments.

This role is suited to a technically capable professional who understands how applications move from development to production and can identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve release consistency, and increase system availability. You will collaborate with software developers, security specialists, and infrastructure teams to establish dependable engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated software testing, integration, and deployment.

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools.

• Configure and maintain containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes where appropriate.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions for applications and infrastructure.

• Improve system availability, scalability, backup processes, and disaster recovery readiness.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and configuration management.

• Support secure management of secrets, permissions, environment variables, and deployment credentials.

• Work with development teams to troubleshoot deployment failures and production performance issues.

• Apply infrastructure security practices, patch management, and vulnerability remediation procedures.

• Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and incident response.

• Contribute to incident reviews and recommend improvements that prevent recurring operational problems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least three years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure automation.

• Hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and shell scripting or Python.

• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, monitoring systems, and configuration management is an advantage.

• Understanding of cloud security, access management, backup strategies, and production incident handling.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
