You will collaborate with data engineers, software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify analytical opportunities and develop solutions to real-world problems. The ideal candidate combines strong statistical knowledge with practical programming skills and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, relationships, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement.
  • Develop and validate predictive models using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preparation.
  • Apply regression, classification, clustering, and forecasting methods to business problems.
  • Develop customer segmentation, behavioral analysis, and performance prediction models where relevant.
  • Design experiments and evaluate outcomes using appropriate statistical methods.
  • Communicate findings through reports, dashboards, visualizations, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to improve data availability, quality, and analytical readiness.
  • Work with product and business teams to translate requirements into measurable analytical objectives.
  • Monitor model performance and recommend improvements as business conditions and datasets change.
  • Maintain reproducible analytical workflows, documentation, and version-controlled code.
  • Follow responsible data practices, privacy requirements, and applicable governance standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in data science, statistical modelling, or applied analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and SciPy.
  • Solid understanding of probability, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Practical experience developing, evaluating, and interpreting machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
  • Understanding of feature selection, model validation, cross-validation, and performance metrics.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data environments or modern analytical platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to analytical work.
  • Professional proficiency in English; Estonian language skills are an advantage where relevant to the role.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Flexible working arrangements within Estonia.
  • Opportunities to work on meaningful analytical challenges and business-critical projects.
  • Access to modern data platforms, analytical tools, and machine learning technologies.
  • Professional development opportunities, training, and relevant certification support.
  • A collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Opportunities to develop specialized expertise and progress into senior or lead data science positions.
  • Paid annual leave and employment benefits in accordance with company policy and applicable Estonian law.

Application Process

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and a brief overview of their experience in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data science projects. Applicants may also include a portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples of relevant work where available.
