We are expanding our data capabilities and are looking for a Data Engineer who can transform data from multiple sources into consistent, well-structured, and accessible information for analytics and business reporting.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer specialising in analytics and data integration, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the pipelines that connect business applications, databases, APIs, and analytical platforms. You will work closely with data analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that information is accurate, timely, and suitable for reporting and analysis.

This role is ideal for a technically capable professional who enjoys solving data integration challenges, improving data quality, and building dependable systems that support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that consolidate data from internal and external sources.
• Integrate data from relational databases, REST APIs, SaaS platforms, and event-driven systems.
• Write efficient SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Build and maintain analytical data models for reporting and business intelligence.
• Support data warehouse development and improve the reliability of reporting datasets.
• Implement automated data quality checks, reconciliation procedures, and anomaly detection.
• Monitor pipeline performance, investigate failures, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and pipeline specifications.
• Contribute to data governance, privacy, and secure data-handling practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in data engineering, database development, analytics engineering, or data integration.
• Good working knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and dimensional data modelling.
• Familiarity with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience integrating APIs and working with structured and semi-structured data formats such as JSON and CSV.
• Familiarity with Git, workflow orchestration, and automated testing practices.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Professional working proficiency in English; Estonian language skills are an advantage, depending on business requirements.
