Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build, automate, and maintain the cloud environments that support modern software applications. The successful candidate will help establish secure, resilient, and cost-efficient infrastructure while improving deployment reliability, system observability, and operational consistency.

You will collaborate with software engineers, security specialists, and technical operations teams to ensure that development and production environments meet the organization’s performance, availability, and compliance requirements. The role requires practical expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud networking, containerized workloads, and modern deployment practices.

This opportunity is suitable for an infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and improving the systems that enable engineering teams to deliver software efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or comparable platforms.

  • Configure and maintain cloud networking, identity and access management, compute resources, storage, and security controls.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows that automate application builds, testing, infrastructure changes, and deployments.

  • Support containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to identify and resolve infrastructure issues.

  • Establish backup, recovery, resilience, and disaster-recovery procedures appropriate to business requirements.

  • Work with security teams to implement vulnerability management, secrets management, access controls, and infrastructure hardening.

  • Monitor cloud resource utilization and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization without compromising reliability.

  • Troubleshoot deployment failures, network connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.

  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational runbooks, and configuration standards.

  • Support engineering teams in adopting repeatable, secure, and efficient development and deployment practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Practical knowledge of Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, or comparable automation tools.

  • Experience with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, DNS, TLS, firewalls, and access management.

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based application deployment.

  • Understanding of CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent platforms.

  • Knowledge of cloud security, backup strategies, availability planning, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

  • Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or a similar language.

  • Strong documentation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.

Technical Environment

The infrastructure stack may include AWS or Azure, Terraform, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging platforms.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to improve the reliability and scalability of cloud-based services.

  • Exposure to modern infrastructure automation and platform engineering practices.

  • Collaboration with software development, cybersecurity, and technical operations teams.

  • Opportunities for professional certifications and continued technical development.

  • Competitive remuneration aligned with demonstrated expertise.

Ideal Candidate

You are a practical, security-conscious engineer who values automation, consistency, and operational reliability. You can investigate complex infrastructure problems methodically, communicate clearly during incidents, and design environments that allow development teams to deploy and operate applications with confidence.
