About the role
Get to know your team
You will join a team of 3 Business Development Managers and an inside sales representative who collaborate closely with consultants, product managers, and partners. Together, we work to identify new opportunities, support clients in their sustainability journey, and scale game-changing software solutions. You will be responsible for new ARR generated from both inbound lead generation and prospecting. This role reports to the Sales & Business Development Team Lead.
Your job as our Business Development Manager
This full-time (40 hours) role combines hunting, consultative selling and closing. Your focus will be on customers in Mexico & North America, across industries such as medical/pharma, consumer goods, tech-engineering, foods & beverages and chemicals. This is primarily an outbound sales role, focused on engaging with both existing and potential customers to expand our market presence.
This full-time, permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates based in Mexico.

Hunt and close strategic new business in Mexico and North America.

Engage with prospects to understand their needs, co-develop tailored solutions, and showcase how SimaPro products create business value.

Drive inbound and outbound sales of SimaPro; follow up on leads, demo the software, and close new contracts.

Educate prospects and customers on LCA, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and the role of reliable sustainability metrics in compliance (CSRD, CBAM, ESPR) and innovation.

Contribute to our go-to-market and pricing strategies, keeping an eye on market trends, competitor activities, and evolving regulations.

Represent PRé Sustainability at industry events and conferences across North America & Mexico.

3–5 years in B2B Sales and/ or Business Development, ideally in SaaS or sustainability consulting, with a successful track record of achieving ARR targets.

Proactive, hunter mentality in sales.

Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills.

Ability to distil customer needs from unstructured conversations.

Fast learning skills and a desire to improve constantly, using what works.

Affinity with sustainability. Knowledge of LCA, EPD, or environmental reporting is a big plus.

A bachelor’s or Master’s degree is beneficial.

Fluency in English, as it is our working language, and Spanish, due to the market you will cover.

Ideally, you have experience working with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC/MEDPIC, SPICED, or similar frameworks for managing and progressing sales opportunities.
