Role Summary

The Fintech Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for financial technology applications. The role focuses on validating application functionality, identifying software defects, testing transaction workflows, and ensuring that new releases meet established quality standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with software developers, product specialists, and technical operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle. The position requires practical automation experience and an understanding of the accuracy and reliability requirements of financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for fintech applications.

• Design test scenarios covering payment processing and financial transaction workflows.

• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing.

• Validate API responses and system communication between financial platforms.

• Identify, document, and track software defects.

• Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve application issues.

• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

• Perform database validation to verify transaction records and system outputs.

• Maintain test documentation and quality assurance reports.

• Participate in release testing and software deployment assessments.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

• Support performance and reliability testing for critical financial applications.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or test automation.

• Practical experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test development.

• Understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman.

• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and software development workflows.

• Understanding of payment systems or digital banking applications is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

• Excellent documentation and collaboration abilities.
