Role Summary

The Open Banking Integration Specialist will manage technical and operational activities associated with connecting financial platforms to banking institutions and third-party financial service providers.

The position involves supporting API integrations, reviewing technical documentation, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and coordinating integration testing.

The successful candidate will work closely with software developers, product managers, banking partners, and compliance professionals to ensure that financial integrations operate reliably and meet established technical and security requirements.

The role is particularly suited to someone with experience in API development or integration, financial services technology, and secure data exchange.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of open banking integrations across supported financial platforms.

• Support connections between digital financial applications, banking institutions, and third-party service providers.

• Review API documentation, integration specifications, and technical requirements.

• Assist software engineering teams with the configuration and testing of financial API connections.

• Monitor API performance, connectivity, response times, and integration reliability.

• Investigate failed requests, authentication problems, data inconsistencies, and connectivity interruptions.

• Support the integration of account information and payment initiation functionalities.

• Work with technical teams to resolve API compatibility and data exchange issues.

• Coordinate sandbox testing and production readiness assessments for new integrations.

• Maintain accurate documentation covering API endpoints, authentication processes, and integration procedures.

• Support version management and updates affecting existing banking integrations.

• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure integrations follow applicable data protection and access control requirements.

• Assist with the implementation of secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

• Monitor integration performance and recommend improvements to reduce service interruptions.

• Coordinate technical communication with external banking and technology partners.

• Contribute to the development of reusable integration procedures and technical standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in API integration, fintech engineering, banking technology, or software implementation.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and API authentication.

• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or similar authorization frameworks.

• Understanding of open banking concepts, financial data connectivity, and payment initiation workflows.

• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent platforms.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of API security, data encryption, and secure information exchange.

• Ability to interpret technical documentation and troubleshoot integration issues.

• Experience working with third-party technology providers or financial institutions is advantageous.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Professional proficiency in English.
