Role Summary

The Fintech API Integration Consultant will help clients and partners connect their systems to financial technology services through APIs and related integration methods. The role combines technical analysis, implementation support, documentation, and troubleshooting to help ensure that integrations operate reliably and meet business requirements.

The consultant will work with clients, product teams, and engineers to clarify integration needs, validate technical configurations, and resolve issues during implementation and ongoing service use.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of API-based integrations between client systems and fintech services.

• Review integration requirements and translate them into clear technical implementation steps.

• Assist clients with API authentication, request structures, response handling, and error resolution.

• Conduct integration testing and validate data exchange across connected systems.

• Investigate API failures, unexpected responses, connectivity issues, and data inconsistencies.

• Prepare and maintain integration guides, configuration notes, and troubleshooting documentation.

• Coordinate with engineering teams to escalate defects and communicate technical findings.

• Support client onboarding by explaining integration workflows and technical prerequisites.

• Track implementation progress, outstanding issues, and dependencies across projects.

• Recommend improvements to integration processes based on recurring client challenges.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in API integration, technical consulting, implementation support, or software systems.

• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication methods, and common integration patterns.

• Ability to interpret technical documentation and explain concepts clearly to different audiences.

• Familiarity with testing tools, logs, and basic troubleshooting techniques.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and client communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple implementation activities and maintain accurate project records.

• Basic knowledge of payment systems, digital banking, or financial technology is beneficial.

• Experience with API testing tools, SQL, or programming and scripting languages is an advantage.
