Role Summary

The Open Banking Integration Analyst will support the technical and operational processes involved in connecting digital financial applications with banking institutions and third-party providers. The role involves reviewing API connectivity, validating financial data exchanges, investigating integration errors, and coordinating with technical teams to resolve service issues.

The successful candidate will help ensure that banking integrations operate consistently and that exchanged financial information meets established accuracy and security requirements. This position requires a combination of technical understanding, analytical thinking, and knowledge of digital banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of open banking integrations with external financial institutions and service providers.

• Review API documentation, integration specifications, and technical requirements.

• Monitor connectivity between financial applications and external banking platforms.

• Investigate API errors, authentication failures, data synchronization issues, and unsuccessful requests.

• Validate account information, transaction data, and payment-related information exchanged between connected systems.

• Coordinate integration testing with engineering, product, and external technology teams.

• Document integration requirements, technical findings, operational procedures, and recurring issues.

• Assist with the investigation of inconsistencies in banking data received through external interfaces.

• Monitor integration performance and escalate significant service interruptions.

• Support updates to API connections when external banking partners introduce technical changes.

• Prepare reports on integration reliability, error trends, and operational performance.

• Recommend improvements to integration monitoring, documentation, and issue resolution processes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience in API integration, digital banking operations, technical analysis, or financial technology support.

• Understanding of open banking concepts and financial data exchange.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, authentication methods, and web-based integrations.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or PSD2-related technical concepts is beneficial.

• Ability to interpret API documentation and investigate technical errors.

• Familiarity with Postman, SQL, API monitoring tools, or similar technical applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate technical activities across distributed teams.

• Experience with banking APIs, payment platforms, or financial infrastructure is an advantage.
