Role Summary

The Forex Trading Platform Support Engineer will provide technical support and maintain the reliability of software platforms used for foreign exchange trading activities.

The position involves monitoring trading applications, investigating technical incidents, resolving connectivity problems, and supporting platform integrations. The successful candidate will work remotely from Estonia, collaborating with engineering and trading operations teams to ensure that trading systems remain stable and accessible.

This role is suited to a technically capable professional with knowledge of trading platforms, software troubleshooting, and financial market technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the availability and performance of forex trading platforms.

• Investigate technical incidents affecting trading applications and execution services.

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving trading servers, APIs, and external service providers.

• Support the configuration and maintenance of trading platform environments.

• Assist with the integration of trading systems and third-party financial technology services.

• Investigate application errors, execution interruptions, and system performance issues.

• Monitor platform logs and technical alerts to identify potential service disruptions.

• Coordinate with software engineers to resolve complex technical problems.

• Support platform upgrades, software releases, and configuration changes.

• Maintain technical documentation covering incidents, troubleshooting procedures, and system configurations.

• Conduct preliminary root-cause analysis of recurring platform issues.

• Assist with testing new platform features and software updates.

• Support secure access management and appropriate system permissions.

• Recommend improvements to platform stability, monitoring, and technical support procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in technical support, application support, systems engineering, or fintech technology.

• Understanding of forex trading platforms and electronic trading environments.

• Familiarity with MetaTrader, cTrader, FIX connectivity, or comparable trading systems is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating environments.

• Understanding of networking, APIs, and application connectivity.

• Experience with SQL, scripting, or technical troubleshooting tools.

• Familiarity with system monitoring and incident management processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to manage technical incidents independently and collaborate with distributed teams.
