Role Summary

The Digital Banking Platform Reliability Engineer will be responsible for improving the availability, performance, scalability, and operational resilience of digital banking infrastructure.

The role involves monitoring production systems, investigating service incidents, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and implementing automation to reduce operational risks. The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, infrastructure specialists, security teams, and financial operations professionals to ensure that digital banking services remain reliable and responsive.

This position requires strong experience in site reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, and production systems management. The ideal candidate will understand the operational requirements of financial technology platforms and will be capable of implementing engineering solutions that support secure and uninterrupted financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the reliability and operational performance of digital banking infrastructure and production systems.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure supporting financial technology applications.

• Monitor system availability, application performance, infrastructure utilization, and service reliability indicators.

• Develop and maintain service-level objectives, service-level indicators, and operational reliability standards.

• Investigate production incidents involving infrastructure failures, service degradation, transaction processing delays, and system connectivity.

• Implement automation to improve infrastructure provisioning, deployment processes, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve application resilience, fault tolerance, and production readiness.

• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems across banking infrastructure.

• Support disaster recovery planning, backup procedures, and business continuity initiatives.

• Conduct incident reviews and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring operational failures.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployment workflows.

• Support infrastructure security practices, access management, and configuration control procedures.

• Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization activities.

• Maintain technical documentation covering infrastructure architecture, incident response, and operational procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application environments.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or comparable technologies.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or comparable platforms.

• Strong understanding of networking, distributed systems, and production infrastructure.

• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

• Knowledge of incident management, disaster recovery, and system reliability practices.

• Familiarity with security requirements applicable to financial technology infrastructure.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
