Role Summary

The Electronic Foreign Exchange Trading Systems Specialist will support the performance, configuration, monitoring, and operational reliability of electronic FX trading infrastructure.

The position involves working with trading platforms, liquidity provider connections, market data feeds, order execution systems, and related financial technology components. The successful candidate will help ensure that electronic trading systems operate efficiently, market information is delivered accurately, and technical issues are identified and resolved promptly.

This role requires an understanding of foreign exchange market operations combined with practical technical knowledge of electronic trading systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable investigating execution-related issues, monitoring system performance, and coordinating with technology and trading operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor electronic foreign exchange trading systems to ensure reliable connectivity, execution processing, and operational performance.

• Support the configuration and maintenance of trading platforms, liquidity provider connections, and market data interfaces.

• Investigate trading system incidents involving execution delays, connectivity interruptions, market data inconsistencies, and transaction processing errors.

• Monitor system performance indicators, including latency, order processing activity, connection availability, and execution-related exceptions.

• Coordinate with liquidity providers, technology vendors, and internal engineering teams to resolve trading infrastructure issues.

• Support the implementation and testing of trading platform enhancements, connectivity updates, and system configuration changes.

• Review trading logs and execution records to identify technical anomalies and operational discrepancies.

• Assist with the validation of market data feeds and the consistency of pricing information across connected systems.

• Maintain documentation covering trading system configurations, connectivity procedures, and operational support activities.

• Participate in incident management procedures and contribute to the investigation of recurring system issues.

• Support system testing during new liquidity provider integrations and trading platform upgrades.

• Collaborate with trading operations and risk teams to improve the reliability of electronic trading workflows.

• Contribute to the development of monitoring procedures and operational controls for trading infrastructure.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in electronic trading systems, FX technology, trading operations, or financial market infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of foreign exchange trading workflows and electronic execution environments.

• Familiarity with trading platforms, liquidity provider connectivity, and market data distribution systems.

• Knowledge of FIX protocol, API connectivity, or financial messaging systems is advantageous.

• Experience monitoring technical systems and investigating connectivity or transaction processing issues.

• Understanding of market data feeds, order execution workflows, and trading system performance indicators.

• Familiarity with SQL, scripting languages, or technical log analysis tools.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to trading, operations, and engineering stakeholders.

• Experience with financial market technology vendors or institutional trading platforms is beneficial.
