Role Summary

The Senior Open Banking Integration Specialist will be responsible for supporting the integration, implementation, and operational performance of open banking services across digital financial platforms.

The role involves working with banking APIs, account information services, payment initiation capabilities, and financial data exchange processes. The successful candidate will ensure that integrations operate reliably, financial information is transferred accurately, and technical issues are resolved efficiently.

This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, financial systems understanding, and strong analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with open banking infrastructure and will be comfortable coordinating with internal engineering teams, external banking partners, and financial technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of open banking integrations across supported financial institutions and service providers.

• Manage technical integration activities involving account information services, payment initiation, and transaction data retrieval.

• Review API documentation, integration specifications, and technical requirements to support successful implementation.

• Monitor integration performance and investigate service interruptions, connectivity issues, and data inconsistencies.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve API reliability, data validation, and transaction processing workflows.

• Support the configuration and testing of banking connections across development, testing, and production environments.

• Investigate authentication failures, consent-related issues, and integration errors affecting customer financial services.

• Maintain accurate documentation covering integration procedures, technical dependencies, and operational requirements.

• Coordinate with banking partners and external service providers to resolve integration-related incidents.

• Support compliance with relevant open banking standards, data protection requirements, and financial services regulations.

• Contribute to integration testing, release validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare operational reports covering integration performance, service availability, and recurring technical issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in open banking, financial technology integrations, API operations, or banking systems.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and API authentication mechanisms.

• Familiarity with open banking concepts, account information services, and payment initiation services.

• Experience reviewing technical documentation and supporting integration implementation activities.

• Knowledge of financial data exchange, transaction processing, and banking connectivity workflows.

• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, consent management, and secure API communication.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working with banking partners or third-party financial technology providers is advantageous.

• Knowledge of PSD2, PSD3, or relevant European open banking frameworks is beneficial.
