Role Summary

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for analysing, maintaining, and improving the systems used to support financial operations. The role involves working across finance, technology, and business teams to ensure financial platforms operate accurately, information flows efficiently, and system improvements align with operational requirements.

The successful candidate will translate business needs into practical system solutions, support financial application enhancements, and help maintain the integrity of financial data across connected platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse financial systems and business processes to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Gather and document system requirements from finance, operations, compliance, and technology stakeholders.

• Evaluate financial applications, workflows, and integrations to ensure they meet business and reporting requirements.

• Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of new financial technology features.

• Investigate system discrepancies, transaction processing issues, and data inconsistencies.

• Work with technical teams to resolve application defects and implement approved system enhancements.

• Maintain functional documentation, process maps, configuration records, and system procedures.

• Support the integration of financial platforms with accounting, payment, reporting, and enterprise applications.

• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements that strengthen accuracy, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Assist with system upgrades, implementation projects, and changes affecting financial operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in financial systems analysis, business systems support, or fintech operations.

• Good understanding of financial workflows, transaction processing, reconciliation, and reporting processes.

• Experience working with financial applications, enterprise systems, or digital banking platforms.

• Ability to gather requirements and convert business needs into clear technical specifications.

• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools.

• Understanding of API integrations, data exchange, and system testing principles.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

• High attention to detail and a structured approach to managing multiple priorities.
