Description

Company Overview

The organisation develops digital products and technology-enabled services within the fintech, payments and software industries. Its focus is on delivering accessible, reliable and valuable digital experiences that encourage customer adoption, sustained engagement and long-term product use.

The Product Growth & Experience department works at the intersection of product management, user experience, analytics and commercial strategy. Its activities focus on understanding customer behaviour, identifying barriers to adoption and improving the product experiences that influence acquisition, activation, engagement and retention.

The team uses product analytics, customer research and structured experimentation to evaluate potential improvements and determine which changes deliver measurable value. Working alongside engineering, design, marketing and customer success, the department helps ensure that product development responds to real customer needs and supports sustainable business performance.

Role Summary

The Product Growth & Optimisation Manager will lead initiatives designed to improve product adoption, conversion, engagement and retention across relevant digital customer journeys. The role combines product management, behavioural analysis, experimentation and customer experience optimisation.

The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve how customers discover, start using and continue engaging with digital products. This may involve evaluating onboarding processes, improving registration flows, reducing unnecessary friction, testing feature presentation and developing initiatives that encourage customers to discover relevant product capabilities.

The manager will collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, analysts and marketing specialists to formulate hypotheses, prioritise opportunities and measure the outcomes of product changes. Decisions will be guided by customer evidence, business objectives, technical feasibility and appropriate risk considerations.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of product growth frameworks and is comfortable combining quantitative metrics with qualitative customer feedback. They should be able to distinguish between changes that generate short-term activity and those that deliver lasting improvements in customer value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product growth strategy: Develop growth and optimisation plans aligned with product objectives, focusing on measurable improvements in activation, adoption, engagement, conversion and retention.

  • Customer journey optimisation: Analyse the end-to-end product experience to identify friction points, incomplete journeys, confusing interfaces and barriers that prevent customers from receiving value.

  • Activation improvement: Identify factors that influence successful onboarding and early product adoption. Work with relevant teams to develop improvements that help customers reach meaningful product milestones.

  • Conversion optimisation: Investigate registration, onboarding, application or purchase journeys, where applicable, to identify opportunities to improve completion rates and reduce unnecessary abandonment.

  • Product analytics: Use event data, funnel analysis, cohort analysis and behavioural metrics to understand how customers interact with product features and where engagement may be declining.

  • Experimentation: Design and coordinate A/B tests and other structured experiments to evaluate product changes. Establish hypotheses, success metrics, test conditions and evaluation criteria before implementation.

  • Feature adoption: Work with product managers and designers to improve feature discovery, product education and the usability of capabilities that customers may not fully understand or use.

  • Customer research: Use customer interviews, surveys, feedback and support insights to understand unmet needs, validate assumptions and prioritise opportunities for improvement.

  • Retention initiatives: Investigate patterns associated with repeat usage, disengagement and churn. Develop product-led improvements that support continued customer value rather than relying solely on promotional activity.

  • Roadmap prioritisation: Evaluate growth opportunities according to expected impact, implementation effort, confidence in the evidence and alignment with product strategy.

  • Cross-functional delivery: Coordinate growth initiatives with engineering, design, analytics, marketing and customer success teams, ensuring that requirements and responsibilities are clear.

  • Product messaging and experience: Collaborate with design and marketing colleagues to improve in-product guidance, onboarding content, feature explanations and calls to action.

  • Performance measurement: Define and monitor relevant growth metrics, including activation rates, funnel conversion, feature adoption, engagement frequency and retention indicators.

  • Commercial evaluation: Assess how product improvements influence relevant commercial outcomes, such as qualified customer conversion, ongoing usage and long-term customer value.

  • Customer feedback integration: Establish feedback loops that ensure insights from customer support, sales and user research inform product improvement priorities.

  • Product quality and trust: Ensure that optimisation initiatives consider accessibility, privacy, security, transparency and relevant financial-services requirements.

  • Experiment reporting: Document hypotheses, results, limitations and lessons from completed experiments. Share findings with stakeholders and use validated insights to guide future decisions.

  • Continuous improvement: Review product performance regularly, identify emerging opportunities and maintain a prioritised backlog of evidence-based improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Several years of experience in product management, product growth, conversion optimisation, digital experimentation or a related role.

  • Demonstrated understanding of product funnels, customer journeys, onboarding, activation, engagement and retention.

  • Experience using product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4 or comparable platforms.

  • Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation design, hypothesis development and interpretation of test results.

  • Ability to analyse quantitative data and combine it with qualitative customer feedback to develop practical recommendations.

  • Experience working with engineers, UX/UI designers, analysts and marketing professionals to implement product improvements.

  • Strong understanding of customer experience principles, usability and the factors that influence digital product adoption.

  • Ability to define measurable objectives and evaluate the effectiveness of product changes against appropriate baselines.

  • Familiarity with product roadmap management, backlog prioritisation and agile delivery practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical findings and product decisions to diverse stakeholders.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance growth opportunities with customer trust, product quality and long-term value.

  • Experience in fintech, digital banking, payments, SaaS or other digital product environments is an advantage.

  • Understanding of applicable privacy, accessibility and consumer protection considerations is beneficial.

  • Professional English proficiency and the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional setting.

Benefits

  • Remote working within Estonia, with flexibility to organise work around agreed priorities and product delivery schedules.

  • Opportunity to influence the customer experience and measurable performance of digital products.

  • Exposure to product analytics, experimentation, behavioural research and product-led growth practices.

  • Collaboration with product, engineering, design, marketing and customer success teams.

  • Professional development through product optimisation initiatives and data-informed decision-making.

  • Opportunities to build expertise in experimentation, customer journey analysis and digital product strategy.

  • A working environment that values customer-centred thinking, analytical rigour and continuous improvement.

  • The opportunity to contribute to products designed to improve digital financial experiences and customer engagement.

Application Instructions

Applicants should submit an up-to-date CV highlighting their experience in product growth, experimentation, product analytics or digital experience optimisation. Candidates should describe initiatives they have led or supported and explain their contribution to the resulting product or business outcomes.
