Role Summary

The Senior Product Manager will lead the development and continuous improvement of digital financial products, translating customer needs and business objectives into a clear product strategy, prioritised roadmap and actionable delivery plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying valuable product opportunities, defining requirements, coordinating cross-functional execution and evaluating the performance of released features. The role requires a strong understanding of product discovery, user experience, technology delivery and commercial outcomes.

Working closely with engineering, UX/UI design, data analytics, operations and compliance specialists, the Senior Product Manager will ensure that product decisions reflect customer feedback, technical feasibility, regulatory considerations and business priorities. The position also involves balancing immediate product improvements with longer-term investments in platform capability and customer experience.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with practical execution skills. They should be comfortable defining problems before proposing solutions, challenging assumptions with evidence and communicating trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product discovery: Conduct customer research, stakeholder interviews, market analysis and problem validation to identify meaningful product opportunities before committing development resources.

  • Roadmap management: Develop and maintain a prioritised product roadmap, balancing customer value, commercial impact, technical dependencies, operational requirements and delivery capacity.

  • Requirements definition: Translate validated product opportunities into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation that engineering and design teams can use effectively.

  • Customer experience: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to improve navigation, onboarding, product accessibility and overall usability across digital customer journeys.

  • Cross-functional delivery: Coordinate product development with engineering, design, quality assurance, analytics, operations and relevant compliance stakeholders from discovery through release.

  • Prioritisation: Evaluate feature requests, customer feedback, technical improvements and commercial opportunities using structured prioritisation methods and clearly documented trade-offs.

  • Financial product development: Where relevant, contribute to product capabilities involving digital payments, account services, transaction visibility, financial dashboards or other digital financial workflows.

  • Market and competitor research: Monitor relevant market developments, competing products and emerging customer expectations to identify opportunities for differentiation.

  • Data-driven decisions: Define and monitor product performance indicators such as adoption, activation, feature usage, conversion, retention and customer satisfaction.

  • Product experimentation: Work with analytics and design teams to develop experiments, evaluate user behaviour and validate proposed product changes.

  • Release coordination: Support release planning, stakeholder readiness, customer communication and post-launch monitoring to ensure new features are introduced effectively.

  • Risk and compliance collaboration: Work with relevant specialists to identify product risks, document requirements and incorporate applicable security, privacy and regulatory considerations into product decisions.

  • Stakeholder communication: Communicate roadmap decisions, product progress, dependencies and delivery risks to relevant stakeholders using clear, consistent updates.

  • Continuous improvement: Review product performance and customer feedback after release, identifying opportunities to improve functionality, remove friction and strengthen customer outcomes.

  • Product documentation: Maintain product briefs, roadmap materials, decision records and requirements documentation to support transparency and continuity across distributed teams.
