Position Summary

We are seeking an analytical Fintech Business Intelligence Analyst to transform financial and operational data into actionable insights that support business performance, product development, and strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will develop dashboards, analyse business trends, monitor key performance indicators, and provide reliable reporting to stakeholders across product, finance, operations, and commercial teams. This position is ideal for someone who can combine technical data skills with a clear understanding of business needs in the financial technology sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reports covering transaction volumes, payment performance, customer activity, revenue, and operational efficiency.

• Extract, transform, and analyse data from databases, financial systems, CRM platforms, and other business applications.

• Use SQL and business intelligence tools to investigate trends, performance variations, and emerging business opportunities.

• Define and maintain consistent KPI calculations, reporting standards, and metric definitions.

• Identify changes in customer behaviour, transaction activity, product adoption, and business performance.

• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to validate figures and resolve reporting discrepancies.

• Prepare clear analytical summaries and present findings to stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.

• Support forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and performance-monitoring activities.

• Automate recurring reports and improve the accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency of business intelligence processes.

• Work with data engineers and software teams to improve data availability and reporting reliability.

• Maintain documentation covering data sources, analytical methods, dashboard logic, and reporting assumptions.

• Ensure that analytical work follows internal data-governance and information-security standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Experience in business intelligence, data analysis, management reporting, or a comparable analytical role.

• Strong SQL skills and practical experience working with structured datasets.

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence platforms.

• Good understanding of Excel, data visualisation, KPI development, and performance reporting.

• Ability to interpret numerical findings and translate them into practical business recommendations.

• Knowledge of payment processing, digital banking, financial services, or fintech business models is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Python, data warehouses, or ETL processes is beneficial.

• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Technical Environment

The position may involve SQL databases, Power BI or Tableau, Excel, data warehouses, cloud analytics platforms, and automated reporting pipelines.
