Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Blockchain Protocol Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of blockchain infrastructure for financial technology and decentralised applications. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and reliable blockchain components that support digital asset transactions, smart contract execution, and Web3 integrations.

The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, security specialists, and product teams to translate technical requirements into robust blockchain solutions. The position is suited to a developer who understands distributed systems, values secure engineering practices, and can contribute to the continuous improvement of production-grade blockchain platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain blockchain protocol components, transaction-processing systems, and decentralised application infrastructure.
• Develop and optimise smart contracts using Solidity or other relevant blockchain programming languages.
• Evaluate blockchain network performance, transaction finality, consensus mechanisms, and scalability limitations.
• Integrate blockchain services with backend applications, digital wallets, payment systems, and external APIs.
• Conduct code reviews, write automated tests, and identify potential vulnerabilities before deployment.
• Collaborate with security engineers to assess smart contract risks and improve protocol resilience.
• Investigate production incidents, diagnose transaction failures, and implement long-term technical improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation covering architecture, interfaces, deployment procedures, and system dependencies.
• Monitor developments in blockchain technology and assess their practical relevance to the organisation’s infrastructure.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least three years of professional software development experience, preferably with direct blockchain engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Solidity, Rust, Go, TypeScript, or another relevant programming language.
• Understanding of distributed systems, cryptographic principles, blockchain consensus, and peer-to-peer networking.
• Experience with smart contract testing, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
• Familiarity with blockchain development frameworks, RPC interfaces, wallet integrations, and transaction monitoring.
• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and communicate findings clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to secure coding, code quality, and continuous professional development.

Technical Environment

Depending on the project, the environment may include Ethereum-compatible networks, Solidity, Hardhat or Foundry, Web3 libraries, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, and cloud-based deployment infrastructure.
