Position Overview
We are seeking a commercially aware and analytical Treasury Analyst to support liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, treasury reporting, and financial risk monitoring within a modern financial services environment. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate visibility over available funds, assess short-term funding requirements, and provide reliable financial information to support operational and business decisions.
This position requires a strong understanding of cash management principles, financial analysis, banking operations, and internal financial controls. Working alongside finance, accounting, payments, and treasury colleagues, the analyst will contribute to effective liquidity management and ensure that cash movements are properly monitored, reconciled, and reported.
The role offers an opportunity to develop treasury expertise in Estonia’s international business environment, with potential exposure to digital financial services, multi-currency transactions, and technology-enabled treasury processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts, payment accounts, and other approved financial arrangements.
- Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts based on anticipated receipts, supplier payments, operating expenses, settlement obligations, and other financial commitments.
- Compare actual cash movements against forecasts, investigate variances, and document the factors influencing changes in liquidity.
- Maintain treasury schedules covering available balances, expected inflows, planned outflows, and upcoming funding requirements.
- Assist in identifying potential liquidity gaps and communicate material cash flow concerns to the appropriate finance stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports for financial planning and operational review.
- Reconcile bank balances and treasury records against accounting systems and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor foreign currency balances and assess the financial impact of exchange-rate movements on cash positions.
- Support the administration of banking relationships, account documentation, and approved fund transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of treasury transactions, account balances, cash forecasts, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the improvement of treasury reporting templates, forecasting models, and financial control procedures.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities, audit preparation, and internal treasury control reviews.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in treasury, cash management, financial analysis, accounting, or banking operations.
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including financial modelling, lookup functions, and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, treasury management software, accounting platforms, or banking portals.
- Ability to analyse financial information, investigate variances, and present findings clearly.
- Understanding of foreign exchange transactions and multi-currency cash management is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a disciplined approach to financial controls.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Progress toward ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or another relevant professional qualification is desirable. Experience within fintech, digital banking, payment services, or an international company operating across several currencies would be beneficial.
Performance Expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain reliable cash position reports, improve forecast accuracy, identify material liquidity variances promptly, and support timely reconciliation of treasury balances.
The Opportunity
You will contribute directly to the financial visibility and liquidity discipline that enable a business to meet its obligations, manage available resources effectively, and make informed funding decisions.
Ideal Candidate: A financially analytical professional who combines numerical accuracy, commercial awareness, and sound judgement to support effective treasury planning and financial control.
