Role Overview

We are looking for a Cryptocurrency Data Engineer to build reliable data pipelines and analytical infrastructure for blockchain and digital-asset environments.

This is a hands-on, non-managerial engineering position suited to someone who enjoys working with high-volume transactional data, distributed systems, blockchain datasets, and real-time processing.

Core Responsibilities

• Build scalable pipelines for ingesting and processing blockchain and cryptocurrency data.
• Extract, normalize, and structure on-chain transaction data from multiple networks.
• Develop real-time and batch-processing workflows for digital-asset datasets.
• Design data models supporting transaction analysis, wallet activity, asset movements, and blockchain events.
• Implement data-quality controls and validation processes.
• Optimize database performance and large-scale data-processing workflows.
• Integrate blockchain nodes, APIs, indexing services, and internal data platforms.
• Build monitoring and alerting for pipeline reliability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and analytics teams on data requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation for pipelines, schemas, and data-processing systems.

Technical Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or backend engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, data warehouses, or distributed data-processing systems.
• Understanding of blockchain data structures and cryptocurrency transaction flows.
• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Airflow, dbt, or comparable technologies.
• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of data quality, observability, and pipeline reliability.

Ideal Candidate

You are comfortable working with complex datasets and can move confidently between blockchain concepts, software engineering, and data architecture. You pay close attention to data accuracy and understand the importance of reliable information within cryptocurrency and financial systems.
