A sophisticated financial technology environment in Estonia is seeking a Head of Fintech Regulatory Technology to lead the development of technology-enabled compliance capabilities across financial products and operations.

The position brings together RegTech, compliance engineering, financial crime controls, automation, data, and technology leadership.

The Role

You will oversee the design and evolution of technology solutions supporting regulatory compliance, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, risk assessment, reporting, and control management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the strategic roadmap for regulatory technology capabilities.
• Lead development of automated compliance and risk-management workflows.
• Establish technology architecture supporting KYC, KYB, AML, sanctions, and transaction monitoring.
• Work with compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
• Improve data pipelines supporting regulatory reporting and financial-crime controls.
• Introduce automation to reduce manual compliance processes while maintaining appropriate oversight.
• Develop governance frameworks for compliance technology, data quality, and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on APIs, integrations, workflow engines, and monitoring systems.
• Evaluate RegTech vendors and external compliance technology solutions.
• Establish performance and effectiveness metrics for regulatory technology.
• Support audits, regulatory examinations, and internal control assessments.
• Lead and mentor specialists working across compliance technology and financial risk systems.

Ideal Candidate

You should have significant experience across RegTech, financial compliance, technology, banking, payments, AML, risk systems, or financial-crime technology.

A strong understanding of KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, data architecture, APIs, automation, and cloud technology is highly relevant.

Leadership experience is important, as the role requires coordination across compliance, engineering, product, data, legal, and operational teams.
