The Opportunity

A forward-looking fintech organisation in Estonia is seeking a RegTech Solutions Architect to design technology solutions that support regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, customer-risk management, and regulatory reporting.

The role is highly technical and strategically important, combining software architecture with knowledge of compliance technology. You will work across compliance, engineering, data, security, and product teams to transform regulatory requirements into scalable technology capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Design architectures for regulatory technology and compliance platforms.
• Develop technical solutions supporting KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, customer-risk assessment, and regulatory reporting.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into functional and technical architecture.
• Design scalable data pipelines supporting compliance analytics and monitoring.
• Establish integration patterns between compliance platforms, financial systems, identity providers, and external data sources.
• Work with engineering teams to implement secure, resilient, and auditable compliance services.
• Define APIs, data models, event-driven workflows, and service interfaces for RegTech capabilities.
• Support the introduction of intelligent automation and machine-learning capabilities into compliance processes.
• Establish architectural controls for data lineage, auditability, access management, and information security.
• Evaluate third-party compliance technologies and integration approaches.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical governance, and strategic technology planning.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices for compliance-oriented software architecture.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of experience in software architecture, financial technology, RegTech, banking technology, or enterprise technology.
• Strong experience with APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systems.
• Practical understanding of AML, KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience designing data-intensive and audit-sensitive applications.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, identity management, data protection, and system resilience.
• Ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into clear technical designs.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and compliance disciplines.
• Experience with European financial-services environments is highly advantageous.
