Take technical ownership of complex financial software systems from architecture through production. You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership to create resilient platforms capable of supporting rapidly growing transaction volumes.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of mission-critical fintech services.
• Define service architecture, API contracts, data models, and integration strategies.
• Build scalable systems for payments, transfers, financial accounts, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Develop event-driven pipelines for real-time financial events and downstream processing.
• Implement fault-tolerant architectures with circuit breakers, retries, graceful degradation, and automated recovery.
• Design secure integrations with banks, payment processors, and third-party financial platforms.
• Improve system scalability through partitioning, caching, asynchronous processing, and database optimization.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability.
• Lead code reviews and architectural decision-making.
• Diagnose sophisticated production issues involving distributed services and data consistency.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to long-term engineering strategy.

Required Expertise

• 6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java/Kotlin, Go, C#, or another enterprise-grade backend language.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and transactional processing.
• Advanced SQL and relational database design skills.
• Production experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of software security and resilient system design.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.
• Previous experience in fintech, banking, payments, digital assets, or other regulated technology environments is preferred.
