About the role
As a Cloud Platform Engineer , you design, implement, and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers both our internal engineering workflows and customer deployments. You will ensure our systems are reliable, maintainable, and easy for engineers and customers to operate. Cloud Platform Engineers are an integral part of delivering successful outcomes for our customers. You will frequently collaborate with customers’ infrastructure and cloud engineering teams to support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful operation of the platform.

Work with our engineering teams to refine and enhance our IaC setups, CI/CD systems and GitOps systems

Improve and automate our customer deployment processes, continuously removing friction and enabling reliable, repeatable platform installations

Collaborate closely with clients’ cloud or infrastructure engineers to address technical questions regarding Apheris application deployments

You have 3+ years of relevant experience, along with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Engineering)

You have hands-on experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack)

You have experience with infrastructure and deployment automation tools such as Helm, Terraform, or similar tools.

You communicate clearly in English (written and spoken) and can collaborate effectively with external stakeholders such as customers’ cloud platform teams

You enjoy working closely with engineers and end users and are motivated by solving challenging technical problems

Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC), scientific computing environments, or platform engineering

You have experience working in regulated industries such as Pharma, Life Sciences, or Financial Services

You have worked with on-premise Kubernetes deployments (e.g., k3s)
