Executive Opportunity

A technology-led fintech organisation in Estonia is seeking a Head of Digital Asset Infrastructure to lead the architecture, engineering, and operational development of infrastructure supporting digital-asset and blockchain-enabled financial services.

This is a senior technology leadership role combining distributed systems, financial infrastructure, security, custody technology, and platform engineering. You will establish the technical foundations required for secure, resilient, and scalable digital-asset services.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technology strategy for digital-asset infrastructure.
• Lead engineering teams responsible for blockchain connectivity, transaction processing, asset infrastructure, and supporting financial services.
• Establish highly resilient architectures for blockchain nodes, indexing, transaction services, and integration layers.
• Develop secure approaches to key management, transaction authorisation, access control, and sensitive infrastructure.
• Establish operational standards for monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Work with security teams to identify and mitigate infrastructure and protocol-level risks.
• Evaluate blockchain networks, infrastructure providers, custody technologies, and emerging financial technologies.
• Partner with product, compliance, risk, and legal teams on new digital-asset capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards for testing, deployment, observability, and production readiness.
• Manage strategic infrastructure vendors and technology partnerships.
• Develop technical leaders and build a high-performing engineering organisation.
• Present infrastructure strategy, risks, and investment priorities to executive leadership.

Executive Profile

• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, infrastructure, blockchain, distributed systems, fintech, or financial technology.
• Proven experience leading engineering or infrastructure teams.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and security.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and production observability.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic concepts and secure key-management practices.
• Experience within fintech, payments, digital assets, or financial infrastructure is highly advantageous.
• Excellent strategic, technical, and executive communication capabilities.
