About the role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will act as a vital link between our business units and technical infrastructure, serving as a dedicated DevOps representative within our business teams. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the core supporting services that keep our company running, with a heavy focus on streamlining issue resolution and fostering efficient collaboration across the organization. Core responsibilities

Work closely with IT Operations to set up, maintain, and ensure the proper operation of all supporting services for the business.

Act as a crucial bridge between business IT teams and IT Operations to streamline daily issue resolution.

Design, build, and maintain automation, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting tooling to improve the reliability and efficiency of the software delivery lifecycle.

Proactively work on minimizing downtime and ensuring high levels of service quality and system availability.

Participate in incident management and on-call shifts; analyze frequently occurring issues to solve root causes.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Partner with stakeholders and product owners to clarify requirements and propose effective technical solutions.

Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for all systems and processes within your responsibility area.

Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to keep our DevOps domain at the cutting edge.
Experience and key competencies
-
2+ years of experience in a Sysadmin, DevOps, or SRE role.
-
Proven experience managing the automation lifecycle with GitOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Flux, Python).

Experience managing CI/CD and software delivery tooling, including platforms such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Kargo, and ArgoCD.

Deep hands-on experience in at least one core domain: Kubernetes (orchestration/scaling), Kafka (partitioning/consumer groups), or PostgreSQL (performance tuning).

Strong background in application monitoring, alerting systems, and resolving availability and scalability challenges.

Experience managing dependency management, security, and documentation across the full software lifecycle.

Proven ability to engage directly with non-technical stakeholders and translate their needs into technical reality.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from complex information and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent cooperation skills and a proactive approach to taking initiative.

Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues.
