Description
As the Regional Payroll Manager, you will lead our payroll operations across multiple countries. You will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, a passion for process improvement, and a proven ability to manage complex payroll environments.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our payroll processes while managing a team of payroll advisors, overseeing key vendor relationships, and driving strategic automation projects.
Main tasks and responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of payroll advisors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement; manage daily team activities, manage workloads, and ensure timely and accurate payroll cycles.

Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries within the region, providing guidance to the team on payroll inputs, validations, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ensure full compliance with all local, regional, and national payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external payroll audits.

Identify, design, and lead automation projects aimed at enhancing payroll efficiency, accuracy, and scalability; this includes leveraging existing systems and exploring new technologies.

Manage relationships with third-party payroll vendors by monitoring service levels, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high-quality delivery while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and Legal to maintain seamless data flow and resolve payroll-related issues

Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related functionality within our HRIS and payroll systems. Must have hands-on experience with systems like Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
About you:

You will ideally have 3+ years of progressive experience managing regional or global payroll operations, with proven experience leading a team of payroll professionals.

You have demonstrated expertise with different HRIS and payroll systems, such as Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft etc.

You have a proven track record of successfully running and implementing automation or process improvement projects within the payroll function.

You have solid experience in managing relationships with and overseeing the performance of third-party payroll outsourcing vendors.

You have in-depth knowledge of European payroll legislation, tax regulations, and labor laws across multiple jurisdictions, with fluency in English plus any other language.

You have strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
