To strengthen its payment infrastructure capabilities, the organization is seeking an experienced Payment Infrastructure Operations Specialist who can support the daily performance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of its payment systems.

Role Summary

The Payment Infrastructure Operations Specialist will oversee operational activities associated with payment processing infrastructure, ensuring that transaction services remain reliable, efficient, and properly monitored.

The role involves monitoring payment systems, investigating processing failures, coordinating technical incidents, and supporting improvements to payment infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, finance, compliance, and external payment service providers to maintain operational continuity and improve the performance of payment services.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor payment infrastructure and transaction processing systems to ensure reliable service delivery.

• Oversee operational workflows involving payment authorization, transaction routing, clearing, and settlement.

• Investigate failed, delayed, duplicated, or incorrectly processed payment transactions.

• Coordinate incident resolution with engineering teams and external payment service providers.

• Monitor payment processing performance and identify recurring operational issues.

• Maintain accurate records of payment incidents, transaction exceptions, and operational resolutions.

• Support the implementation of new payment processing connections and infrastructure enhancements.

• Review payment performance reports and identify opportunities to improve transaction success rates.

• Coordinate operational testing following payment system upgrades and infrastructure changes.

• Support reconciliation activities involving payment transactions and settlement records.

• Work with finance teams to investigate discrepancies between payment processing records and financial reports.

• Maintain documentation covering payment procedures, operational controls, and incident management processes.

• Assist with the development of automated monitoring and exception management procedures.

• Evaluate operational risks affecting payment availability and transaction processing.

• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on payment infrastructure reliability.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in payment operations, payment infrastructure, fintech operations, or financial services technology.

• Understanding of electronic payment processing, transaction routing, authorization, and settlement procedures.

• Familiarity with payment gateways, payment service providers, and financial transaction systems.

• Experience investigating transaction failures and coordinating operational incident resolution.

• Understanding of reconciliation procedures and financial transaction reporting.

• Familiarity with APIs and payment system integrations is advantageous.

• Experience preparing operational reports and maintaining technical documentation.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

• Professional proficiency in English.
