The company is seeking an experienced foreign exchange professional to contribute to institutional trading activities and support the execution of currency transactions across major and selected emerging-market currency pairs.

Role Summary

The Institutional Foreign Exchange Trader will execute and monitor foreign exchange transactions while supporting trading desk activities, liquidity management, and execution performance.

The successful candidate will analyze currency market conditions, assess trading opportunities, monitor price movements, and execute transactions in accordance with established trading parameters and risk controls.

The position requires practical experience in FX markets, strong market awareness, and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-moving financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute foreign exchange transactions across major currency pairs and selected cross-currency markets.

• Monitor real-time FX prices, market movements, liquidity conditions, and execution opportunities.

• Analyze market developments, economic announcements, and central bank decisions that influence currency valuations.

• Maintain awareness of bid-ask spreads, market depth, execution costs, and available liquidity.

• Monitor trading positions and ensure activities remain within approved exposure limits.

• Coordinate with liquidity providers, brokers, and trading counterparties to support efficient execution.

• Evaluate execution quality and identify opportunities to improve trading performance.

• Maintain accurate trading records, transaction confirmations, and position reports.

• Collaborate with risk management and operations teams to investigate trade discrepancies and execution-related issues.

• Monitor market volatility and adjust trading activity in accordance with established risk management procedures.

• Prepare daily trading summaries covering market developments, executed transactions, and relevant trading observations.

• Support improvements to trading workflows, execution procedures, and trading desk controls.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of professional experience in foreign exchange trading or institutional financial markets.

• Strong understanding of major currency pairs, cross rates, FX market structure, and liquidity dynamics.

• Practical experience using professional trading platforms and market data terminals.

• Knowledge of order execution, spread management, position monitoring, and trade reconciliation.

• Understanding of macroeconomic indicators and their influence on foreign exchange markets.

• Ability to interpret market information and make informed decisions under time-sensitive conditions.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and risk awareness capabilities.

• Familiarity with institutional trading procedures and financial market controls.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

• Professional proficiency in English. Estonian language skills are an advantage.
