Role Summary

The Institutional FX Execution Trader will be responsible for monitoring and executing foreign exchange transactions while supporting institutional trading activity across major global currency markets.

The role involves analyzing market conditions, managing execution workflows, monitoring currency price movements, and ensuring that trading instructions are processed accurately.

The successful candidate will work with institutional trading systems and collaborate with sales, liquidity, and risk management teams to support efficient execution and maintain appropriate trading controls.

This position requires practical knowledge of foreign exchange markets, strong decision-making capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute institutional foreign exchange orders in accordance with approved trading instructions and internal procedures.

• Monitor live market conditions across major currency pairs, including EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and other relevant instruments.

• Analyze market liquidity, volatility, spreads, and execution opportunities.

• Monitor order flow and ensure that transactions are processed accurately and within established parameters.

• Coordinate with liquidity providers and execution counterparties to support efficient order routing.

• Review trade execution reports and investigate rejected, delayed, or partially filled orders.

• Monitor trading exposure and communicate relevant market developments to risk management teams.

• Support the execution of spot FX transactions and other approved foreign exchange instruments.

• Maintain accurate trading records and ensure that transaction details are properly documented.

• Identify unusual market conditions that may affect execution quality or trading operations.

• Collaborate with institutional sales and trading support teams to address client execution requirements.

• Prepare daily trading activity summaries and execution performance reports.

• Follow established trading limits, authorization procedures, and operational controls.

• Contribute to improvements in trading execution procedures and workflow efficiency.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in FX trading, institutional execution, dealing, or financial markets.

• Strong understanding of spot foreign exchange markets and institutional trading practices.

• Knowledge of currency pricing, spreads, market liquidity, and order execution.

• Experience using professional trading platforms or electronic execution systems.

• Ability to interpret market data and respond effectively to changing market conditions.

• Understanding of trading exposure, position monitoring, and execution risk.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv, MT5, cTrader, or institutional trading platforms is beneficial.

• Knowledge of FIX connectivity and electronic trading workflows is an advantage.

• High level of accuracy, discipline, and professional integrity.

• Professional working proficiency in English.
